Junior, a fledgling Anna's Hummingbird made it all the way up to the feeder on the second story deck before tuckering out. He just couldn't fly any farther. So we covered him in a little furry blanket from an old dog toy, to keep him warm, and left him a little bottle cap full of sugar water to last the night. By morning, he had recuperated and flown off, hopefully, to live a long and happy life.
