Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on the edge of the Potomac River in Southern MD. Our quiet, rural neighborhood has a beautiful little path at the end of our street that leads down to a small beach. It's my favorite place to take photos!

Time

Sunset....my favorite time of day!

Lighting

I wanted the viewer to be drawn "forward" into the sunset, just as I was

Equipment

I used a Canon Rebel T6

Inspiration

The colors and textures of the rocks, wood, water, sunset combined were beautifully inspiring to me.

Editing

If I recall correctly, I don't think I did any cropping or highlighting on this picture.

In my camera bag

At the time of this capture, I only carried a Moto E cell phone camera and a Canon Rebel T6.

Feedback

I've learned what a difference it can make to lower the perspective and take shots closer to the ground!
