This image was taken at one of the most iconic places to photograph in the World, Yosemite National Park's Tunnel View. Most people get out to snap a photo of El Capitan and Half Dome and go. While capturing that image it was something else that caught my eye this early morning. The sun was creeping over the horizon so the light was magnificent. There was also morning fog on the valley floor. However, the thing that makes this image so unique was the fact that controlled burns were taking place by local firefighters and the smoke, fog and light were creating a beautiful separation of the trees. This has become one of my all time favorite images of Yosemite. I am a sucker for pattern, design, simplicity, textures and details. This checked all the boxes for me. Enjoy!
