Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on my balcony at my home. I love the way it looked and decided to take it to another level and do a shoot here.

Time

I remember getting off of work and wanting to go home and do a shoot. I did just that, and this happened! It was around the early moments of the evening close to 5pm, and the lighting was amazing out!

Lighting

I love when it is not too sunny outside, but when the evening sky is just right! I love natural lighting, and I barely use flash.

Equipment

I shoot with a Sony Alpha 300, using either a Minolta 70-200mm beer can lens, or a Minolta AF 35-80mm F4-5.6 lens. This particular shot was done with the 35-80mm lens.

Inspiration

I love doing portrait shots, so seeing everybody's photography on here really motivated me to do something different from my normal photos.

Editing

I did not do any kind of post processing of any sort.

In my camera bag

I usual carry a film camera with a 50mm lens on it, as well as my Sony dslr. I like to keep it basic. Just until I get a little bit better, and can bring myself to buy a better camera.

Feedback

Just let your instincts carry you through. I don't really understand much about my camera, but the more I use it the more I feel I am getting better and understanding my equipment is a must. Keep practicing on mastering your craft, and have fun!
