I was participating in a Facebook photo challenge that lasted 7 days. During that time, I had hoped to get a nice photo of a cardinal, but they are so elusive. When I was ready with camera in hand, they were nowhere to be found or too far away. When I didn't have my camera, here one would come. The 7 days came and went and I didn't get my photo. Some days after the challenge ended, I peered out my bathroom window and saw this little guy perched on the white picket fence.
