Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my front yard garden in Blacksburg Virginia. The birds were responsible for this beauty.

Time

This photo was taken mid afternoon with the sun shining on the flowers face.

Lighting

The natural light illuminated the seeds of the sunflower’s face and increased the vibrancy of the colors.

Equipment

This photo was taken with a Canon EOS REBEL T4i with a Tamron 28-270mm lens. It was a handheld shot. Aperture 63/10 ISO 400 Shutter 1/400 Focal length 270

Inspiration

I took this photo to capture the beauty of nature, light, color, and detail as depicted in the sunflower’s face.

Editing

I used a small wet brush in Adobe photoshop to accent the edges of the petals.

In my camera bag

I keep a Canon 70D and a Canon 5dmark1V with Tamron macro/ tele zoom lenses attached in my bag.I’m ready to shoot on the fly!

Feedback

I’m a self taught photographer. I almost always shoot from the hip. I don’t always go looking for things to shoot, I shoot what finds my eye. Believe in yourself If you can see it, you can shoot it !
