Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at a local studio soon after I bought my first DSLR - Nina was great helping me and getting the most out of the light.

Time

This was first thing on a Saturday morning the weather was awful but once the shoot started we enjoyed it so much we forgot how horrible it was outside (until we left of course)

Lighting

I spent a lot of time playing with different soft lights and positions to understand the light and especially the differences you get between clothed and naked bodies. I learnt more about lighting that day than any other.

Equipment

This was shot on a Nikon D500 with the 70-200mm stock lens.

Inspiration

I wanted to try to get some inspiring artistic nude shots, and for my first attempt am very happy with the results.

Editing

Not really apart from a slight crop and conversion to black and white all in Lightroom.

In my camera bag

I always now carry my Nikon D7200 with my 35mm prime for street photography sometime I also carry my 10mm fisheye or 18-200mm zoom.

Feedback

Be brave and have a go - it doesn't matter if you do it wrong but enjoy and learn.
