Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the Detroit Institute of Arts. I was just walking and snapped the shutter instantly.

Time

My art class and I were just walking through the gallery and I came upon this gateway where my eyes were drawn to the bird. It was taken on April 14th, 2016 around 1 pm.

Lighting

No, I accidentally had my flash on which is why there are bright lights in the background.

Equipment

It was shot on a DSL digital camera, noting else was used.

Inspiration

The metal was odd and chipped in certain places but the different coloring made it stand out.

Editing

No.

In my camera bag

I normally use the Canon EOS REBEL T3i and extra batteries and memory cards. Occasionally I'll carry a tripod.

Feedback

Patience is a good idea. The lightning matters too. Try to take as many shots as you can, the more the better, to see which image you decide to go with.
