Celebrating my summer holiday in Toscana Italy, gave me some time to photograph some fantastic spots in the valley called Val d' Orcia. A little beside the road from Montalcino to San Quirico, is the a well know group of Cipress Trees. But, most of the tourists do photograph this first group only. A few hundred meters behind that group, is a circle of Cipress trees.

So, knowing that, I started thinking about how to photograph this special circle of Cipressi. A nightshot would be great of course, but a Milkyway shot would even be better. So, allready in Holland the preparation of this image started.

At around 22 o'clock I was in position. Silence all around me, darkness, wind and some animals. On the road behind me, a few hundreds meters away, some cars passing by disturbing the silence.

I shot some images, knowing I was a little early to shoot the full Milkyway. But somehow, this soft Milkywayshot went out to be a special one for me. I like the blue colors and the bright sky with the blue and green tints ...
