Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in my home studio in North Dakota. I went to school for photography for 3 years and just continue to self teach myself!Time
This image was taken at the perfect time for the sunlight to be shinning through my window of my studio. At early rise, 7pm on a fall day, my client stood as I captured this very image.Lighting
I love using color, and I wanted to capture that softness to her face. With the light coming through the window, the rest was all editing. The pinkness brought out the softness of her cheeks and the blueness of her eyes.Equipment
the equipment I used was a canon 5d, lens, tripod and flash.Inspiration
The inspiration behind this photo was looking at another photo similar to this but of a young child doing this pose and holding her teddy bear.Editing
What inspired me for this photo was the way her face is soft to any light that is presence. When I photograph, I like to show more softness side to the subject and an image. In my camera bag
I normally carry my canon 50d and canon 5d bodies, 3 lenses and 3 flashes. I like to show a variety to my images and by bringing all my lenses with, I feel i can. My 85mm is my most used lens. I feel it captures more than what I expect to come out from an image.Feedback
My best advice for capturing any images is to take your time. Get to know your subject and the atmosphere you are working in. Images take time and you can't rush them.
