Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture at the Dublin zoo located in Phoenix park.

Time

At the end of the afternoon

Lighting

It was a cloudy day giving a uniform ligth without shadow

Equipment

My Nikon D750 with a 50-200 Tamron zoom lens.

Inspiration

Tigers are my favorite big cats, they look so powerfull and so week in front of humans. That day this tiger, probably bored as every day watching people, was making a nap behind the glass, I may wake him up, just time to take a picture and he turns away his head.

Editing

This tiger was behind a glass what makes image paler than usual. I had add saturation and contrast to get that effect away.

In my camera bag

Usualy I take landscape picture with my 14-24mm f/2.8 Nikon lens or 24-70mm f/2.8 Nikon lens. I also use some graduated filters when sky and clouds needs. I also got a zoom lens to get some close-up on animals are distant subect.

Feedback

Not easy way to take some picture of animals in zoo cause they don't often get close to glasses or barriers and stay away from visitors.
