Behind The Lens

Location

In the state of California.

Time

Early afternoon

Lighting

The sun was coming over the hill that the windmills were located. The grasses were very dry and brown, so I decided to switch the photo to sepia. Did you notice the bird sitting on top of the windmill second from the right?

Equipment

No tripod, took it from the window of a moving car, my sister-in law was driving. Camera was a Nikon D7100. Lens 55-300 mm.

Inspiration

My sister-in-law and niece where in the front seat, when we went past I just thought, Wow, this will make a great photo!

Editing

Yes, changed the photo to sepia. I love black & white and sepia!

In my camera bag

I carry a Nikon D7100 and a Nikon D5100. I now own a 150-600 mm lens, which I love, and wish I would have had for this trip.

Feedback

When I was in California, it was very, very hot. Most of the grasses were dry. Being in a moving car, take a lot of photos. I was very pleased when I got back to Pennsylvania, that the photo came out great! I saw the shot and took it! I would like to take a moment to thank you and all of you at Viewbug for the opportunity for this to be posted in your blog!
