After getting up early on the 3rd day of our trek up Mount Kilimanjaro we set off for our next stop - Barranco Camp - with just our back packs and our walking poles, leaving Shira Camp in our wake and all our porters also as the decamped and repacked ready for our next stop.
At about midday, as was customary so far, the porters caught up with and overtook us as they weaved their way towards Barranco Camp to set up before we arrived.
The peak seen in the distance is that of Mount Meru.
