Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in my office with side lighting from a west facing windowTime
It was taken mid afternoonbefore the sun came through the window.Lighting
It was actually a pretty crappy lighting situation with overhead fluorescent lighting that I trotted to counter with the natural light coming through the window. It actually ended up working.Equipment
Olympus EM5 Mark II and 60 mm macro.Inspiration
I was taking a class in Macro photography. I had the fresh raspberries and tried shooting against different colored backgrounds for best effect.Editing
I shoot raw so I have to post process. But in this case I used a very clean edit in Lightroom. I boosted the contrast a little but really didn't have to do much.In my camera bag
Canon 6D with 24-105, 70-200 and the 100 mm macro. I also have several Lensbaby lenses and a 14 mm manual focus lens. My second kit for everyday shooting is rapidly becoming my Olympus because of the size and versatility. I can carry the Olympus and 2 lenses in my purse without issue.Feedback
Don't be afraid to play. I took maybe 10 minutes playing with the angle of the light, the color of the backgrounds and the composition. And I wad really happy with how this turned out.
