Behind The Lens

Location

This is inside the Peter McCallum Centre in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. This recent building is an Oncology Center. The facade and inside are stunning "organic" Architecture. It is my favorite building in Melbourne. Since August 2016, the time of this photo, I went back several time to take more photos of the different aspects of this building.

Time

Around lunch time

Lighting

I would say mostly natural light. I pointed my camera up towards the glass ceiling. There was also some lighting in the different levels of inside balconies.

Equipment

Sony DSC HX90V, hand held

Inspiration

I have been watching this building to be completed and I was waiting for the scaffolding and fences to be removed. Mainly I was attracted to take photos of the facade with its beautiful sculptural curves. Then I went in...

Editing

Lightroom. Probably a bit of cropping and WB adjusting. I do not really remember...

In my camera bag

In my bag, I have the small Sony, a old Canon 1000d and kit lenses...and my iPhone. I am not good with the technical side of Photography. Not in my bag, of course, but I think that my eyes, my interest for details and unusual point of view are my best tools.

Feedback

Look up, look down, take a step to the left, to the right or forward or backward until what you see reflects best what you like and want to share with others, which is your personal interpretation of the place, wherever it is.
