Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken of my mailbox in Clintonville, WI. I am a self taught photographer so every click is a new lesson.Time
This was taken December 5th 2015 at 7:30 in the morning.Lighting
This was my very first picture to ever shoot and knew that the morning lighting was absolutely perfect.Equipment
This was shot with an entry level dslr Sony a3000, with an 18-55mm f/5.6, 1/160 sec, ISO-100, no flash, hand held.Inspiration
I have to say that what inspired me most to shoot this was the fact that it was a really foggy morning and the lighting was absolutely fabulous. I loved the hoar frost that covered everything on the mailbox too.Editing
There was no post-processing done on this photo. In my camera bag
As of now I only carry my entry level dslr Sony a3000 with the basic kit lens. I have plans to upgrade next year to a Nikon or another Sony.Feedback
Being a self taught photographer the best thing to tell others that are starting out like I am is to just get outside and shoot everything that captures your attention and to always pay attention to the light around you. Look for things that are easily over looked like a mailbox, the shape of a tree, puffy clouds, a blade of grass etc. they make great learning subjects. Learn everything you can about exposure and your camera settings. Just get out and shoot.
