I took this photo at Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field in Regina Saskatchewan. It is a picture taken during the Saskatchewan Roughriders vs Calgary Stampeders of the CFL.Time
This photo was taken late afternoon early evening with the sun peaking out around the top of the stadium seating.Lighting
The lighting was natural light from the sun. It was peaking out around the side of the stadium at the time of the shot.Equipment
I used a Nikon D5100, with a AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED lens on it. No tripod was used or no flash.Inspiration
I love taking photos and am trying to build up my sports portfolio and was attending this football game anyways and they allow all types of cameras into the game so I decided to bring it and get some shots of the football game from my seat. Again I love taking sports photos so this was the perfect opportunity to try and capture some good football photos.Editing
I didn't do to much post-processing. Brought up the shadows a bit and lightened a smidge but not to much at all.In my camera bag
I usually carry around my Nikon D5100 (hoping to upgrade to a D500 soon) with the AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED lens, the standard 18-55 kit lens and my AF-S Nikkor 35mm 1:1.8G Lens. The odd time I will have my SB-700 AF Speedlight with me.Feedback
My only advice would be to know the sport you are taking pictures of and be patient with the fast moving action. Keep trying and have fun.
