Awesome image, love it! Raven's and crows are both beautiful birds. Love the detail in the feathers in your image.

Location
I took this photo at a suburban railway station in my cityTime
This was taken mid afternoon on an overcast cold march day.Lighting
I think the flat dull light created by an overcast sky truly gives the Raven photo a wonderful sense of melancholyEquipment
I used an Olympus SP-810UZ. F-stop f/5 Exposure time 1/60sec ISO speed ISO-80Inspiration
I was standing waiting for the train and the Raven landed on the fence across the tracks from me, there was another on the ground, it had found something to eat and this Raven flew over to have a look. I have always loved predatory birds, magpies and ravens being my favorites.Editing
I converted the photo to black and white and my partner Bastetamon placed a blue filter over the image to get the effect you see.In my camera bag
i had nothing else with me at the time, this is the camera i used before i bought my CanonFeedback
Take as many shots as u can before yr subject flies away, urban birds are great to photograph because they are used to human behavior, you can move around to capture from different angles and get quite close without disturbing them. Never look at predatory birds straight on, try and only show them one of your eyes. They are less likely to see u as a threat and you can move in much closer to them .
