Sadly, we see and think of this bird as a "stationary" animal because of what we see at zoos.....but yes, in the wild, Flamingos do fly! .....and they are so beautiful to watch!
This is the smaller of the 2 types of Flamingo found in East Africa....called Lesser Flamingo , the larger sized breed is called Greater Flamingo.

Thanks!!!! ......it was amazing to see them actually fly....they don't look like they have it in them! hahaha!!!! And it was a challenge trying to pan with them through the window of our Rover with my big lens....lucky I didn't hurt someone!!!!! lol!
