Location
I took this photo on the pier, right next to the famous Merlion statue in Singapore. I lived in Singapore as a child so I was thrilled to photograph such an iconic scene.Time
This was taken at the end of a very adventurous day on April 5th, 2016.Lighting
I had tried a few pictures on my camera that I couldn't get to work the way I wanted before the battery, so I resorted to my phone which, ironically, took a better picture.Equipment
I used my iPhone 6s to get this shot.Inspiration
I grew up in Singapore, so I wanted to get a photo that captured multiple landmarks in one scene.Editing
I had to adjust the brightness because the photo was little dark, but other than that, nothing much was done to the photo. In my camera bag
I usually carry my Canon Rebel EOS T3 with an 18 - 55mm lens and a 70 - 300mm lens along with an extra battery. However, when I don't feel like carrying around my camera bag, I have my camera around my neck and my iPhone 6s in my pocket.Feedback
Singapore is full of diversity, so it won't be hard to capture what you're looking for. For a photo like this, it's about timing so that everything you want is in one picture and there are no tourists in the way. Singapore is a perfect place to document multiple cultures.
