Location
This was one of my first good macro shoots. I took it next to a hippie village in Breda, Netherlands. It was dark, cloudy day and the colors were shining bright.Time
I took this one around 3 pm. on a dark and cold summer day in the Netherlands.Lighting
The natural light was perfect for this shot.Equipment
I needed only my lightweight Nikon D3300 body and my kit lens(18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G).Inspiration
I was walking around a hippie village. The colors around me all look so bright and nice, in such a contrast to the rest of the world. It was like this hippie garden and the hippie beach next to it had collected all the colors of the world and kept it for themselves.Editing
I am not that big on editing too much. I always shoot raw and change the D-lighting and the brightness if needed. In my camera bag
I always carry my Nikon D3300 with the kit lens 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G, Gorilla Pod(I have shaky hands and a lens without VR), and a Nikkor 70-300mm f/3.5-5.6G (non VR)Feedback
Always shoot in RAW. Try different angles. It is a nice bonus if your camera is lightweight so you don't miss out your perfect shot.
