Location
The photo was taken at Irati forest, in northen Spain. A truly enchanted forest, incredibly beautiful, and home of hundreds of old legends and tales. The forest is filled with spectacular views, and the local gastronomy is spectacular too.Time
In the morning, using the morning sun lights to improve background bokeh, altough making photos there in the golden hour is also advisable.Lighting
Only trying to get the correct angle for the background lights to improve bokeh. Not any artificial light to get a more natural view.Equipment
Camera Sony A99, lens Sigma 24 70 HSM (and a good pair of boots for walking in the forest all day long)Inspiration
As a biologist, I love nature, animals, plants, woods... In this photo I tried to catch the feeling of a newborn tree in the middle of a gigantic wood.Editing
Nothing dramatic: usual tone and colour fine tuning, sharpening and no more. I used a thin focusing area to center attention in the little tree.In my camera bag
Apart from camera, Sony A99, and a walk-a-lot lens (Sigma 24-70 HSM), allways a 50mm prime (Sigma 50mm 1.4 art) and a wide angle (Sigma 12-24 HSM). A short travel tripod for some photos and enough food for all the day in the woods.Feedback
This kind of forest are perfect places for spectacular photos, and specially in the morning and afternoon. The old trees, the leaves in the ground, the ocasional little rivers. Necessary good fitness, and patience, dont run, lets walk slowly, enjoy the nature and the photos will come alone.
