Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in my mother in laws living room.

Time

it was in the afternoon

Lighting

the light was just natural light coming through the window. it was not shining directly on him, rather it was just lighting up the area.

Equipment

i used my canon 70d with a 50mm F2.8 lense to help blur out the background.

Inspiration

I love taking pictures of babies and toddlers. especially when they are in a good mood.

Editing

I did a little bit of color improving in lightroom and that was all.

In my camera bag

my camera bag varies a lot however i almost always have my 18-55mm F3.5 lens with me. if things do not go well, it is my fall back lens.

Feedback

although not something that can be helped having the child in a good mood is huge, I had all weekend to i could wait and do it on his time. pay close attention to the lighting I had a few that did not turn out as nice, due to some shadows. I also had a problem with space, even though the room was large the 50mm lens made it so i had to be quite far away to get him in frame, and i wanted him a ways away from the rest of the room so it could be blurred out as much as possible, making a rather large space quite tight. I did not want him to have the toy however it gave his hand something to do and he was more relaxed which made him happier, so it was a worth while trade off.
