Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken at Dzongri peak (altitude 4000 meters) in West Sikkim, passing through magnificent rhododendron forests and culminating with the magnificent views of snow clad peaks at Dzongri.

Time

This image is very close to my heart as the first of the rising and i looked upon the mountain I was mesmarized to see the view, This image was shot 28th october 6.25AM.

Lighting

As this image have a directional light of the rising sun , so it looked serene to my eyes also a bit of highlight on the human subject made this image more dynamic.

Equipment

This image was shot on Nikon D3300 with 18-55mm lens handheld nothing more. The nature made it looked so majestic not the equipment.

Inspiration

The nature itself inspired me to capture this image, the serenity of the snow clad mountain bounded me to gaze my eye in awe.The view from this place has too much to be recommended: a patchwork of green and gold streaked with blue - reminiscent of an abstract etching, framed by the majestic snow capped peaks shining not very far away

Editing

Yes, just bit of the color correction, bit of enhancement thats it, I didn't wanted to change any color or much of the post processing as this image is at its best.

In my camera bag

When ever i roam around the streets i usually carry a crop sensor camera my Nikon D3300 , 18-55mm kit lens and 35mm 1.8g, but it depends on my work. I totally rely on my Nikon D750 for my wedding assignments It is a complete workhorse.

Feedback

The astonishing Dzongri Peak at 4171m will be a rewarding moment that will last forever. Dzongri Trekking is an awesome experience. The views of the two Himalayan ridges (Kanchenjunga and Singalila) from there are absolutely incredible. The southeast face of Mt. Kanchenjunga, the world's third highest mountain, can be viewed from the pass, which is also a base camp for those aspiring to scale the mountain. They say that when the government authorities first saw the view from Goecha La and Dzongri, they were so moved by the view that they decided to feature it on the Rs.100 note
