This mama and her young went to cross a road which thankfully is closed to cars in the winter. We had hiked the road and happened to come across her and her cubs of the year in early May. Such a beautiful site this mama black bear decided to cross coming towards are way and we had to back away rather quickly she carefully watched as her young barreled wherever they wanted to go. When bear pick areas near roads to stay it always makes me hope that as the cars start coming to this area that people are aware and use significant care driving. This area in Yellowstone is no exception.
