This is a popular spot for Vancouver photographers in the spring. This day, with the rain coming down in droves, there was no-one there. I was so disappointed at not getting that picture perfect spring blossom shot, but asked my daughter to grab her umbrella anyway. "Let's see what we can get". It turned out to be a unique photo that none of the other absent photographers got. An important lesson for my photography career about making the best of seemingly unfavorable situations.
