Behind The Lens
Location
Cape Arago highway, Coos Bay OR.Time
Sunset.Lighting
The lighting was perfect at this time of day for the image I had in mind.Equipment
My Canon T6I, and my trusty Manfrotto tripod.Inspiration
I frequent this spot on a regular basis, and I had this particular photo in my head as a vision. Executing it was about the right timing and patience. I had originally stopped when I saw some deer, but sadly I couldn't get them in the shot.Editing
Minimum post processing. I smoothed out the shadows, brightened my exposure a bit, and upped my clarity. That's all! My goal is to take photos that don't require much post processing. In my camera bag
Typically I just have my T6I and a 18-75mm lens. I love how it covers almost all my needs. I carry it with me everywhere I go. When I do portraits, I have much more equipment. But my passion is landscape photography.Feedback
Play with light, it's everything. I imagine painting with light. Every time you take a photo, imagine what you want it to be when all is said and done. Have a clear image in your mind of what you see, and follow through with patience and proper settings.
