While preparing to photograph a Milky Way Panoramic image at Mobius Arch in the Alabama Hills, a huge fireball started falling from the sky. I immediately turned my camera and started my panorama using the fireball as my starting frame. Later NASA published that it was falling "space junk", reportedly a five ton second stage Chinese rocket and was seen over five American Southwest States.
