Location
I took this in Baños de Agua Santa, Ecuador at the Swing at the End of the World. My girlfriend and I took a month long trip there exploring the mountains, the countryside, the cities and the coast.Time
From the image properties, I was able to find out that this was taken at 10:46am on May 14th. Unfortunately for us, the mountains in the area get very foggy after 6am. If the fog wasn't present, while swinging, you'd be able to see the Tungurahua Volcano.Lighting
The lighting was like that of a rainy day and also very foggy, think Pacific North West (like Seattle). I had to adjust my settings to reflect the weather.Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D7000 with a 35mm lens.Inspiration
I was inspired by a friend who took a similar photo whilst at the same location. It looked like a fun thing to do as well as picturesque.Editing
I did do some color/contrast changes as well as some exposure changes to give the photo that film-inspired look.In my camera bag
Due to the sheer size of my camera, it's normally the only thing I carry. The camera I carry is a Nikon D7000 (with an external battery grip), and equipped with a 35mm lens. If for some reason that isn't possible (perhaps I don't feel like carrying such a large camera), I carry my phone which acts as a great camera (LG G4). It has full range of manual settings similar to a DSLR.Feedback
Take lots of photos. Since the subject of the photo is in motion, the more photos you take, the more likely you'll get a photo worth saving. If you were to go to this specific location, go in the early morning (around the crack of dawn to get a beautiful view of the mountains behind).
