Location
My wife and I had a wedding to go to in Bradenton, Florida back in 2016. Since I wasn't part of the wedding, I decided to reach out to the models in the Bradenton. Janel answered my ad in the Sarasota, Florida. So we decided to shoot at her place one morning on my vacation.Time
It was early morning in the summer, around 7:30 am.Lighting
Florida sun is amazing. There was construction going on across the street from Janel's place so we had to careful about the nudity. All I need was a reflector to bounce the light onto her and the shot came out perfect.Equipment
I shot with a Canon EOS Digital Rebel Xsi with 18-55mm lens and a reflector. The camera was hand held.Inspiration
Watching how Janel's red hair caught the morning Florida sun inspired me to shoot. Not to mention the American flag in the background. There was something very American about the whole scene. And the little balcony on Janel's house was a perfect place to capture it all.Editing
I did very little post-processing. I saturated the color in her lips, nipples and hair. The rest was as shot.In my camera bag
These days I usually have my XSi and a Canon 60D, my 15-55mm lens, my 50mm, and my 28mm. I carry one Speedlite flash and a reflector.Feedback
Morning sunlight is so amazing in most places. Get up with the sunrise as much as you can with a willing subject and you'll achieve a lot of photos like this one. It was a really fun shoot.
