Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a famous river in Korea called Han river. I took the photo with my mobile phone camera because I did not prepare anything at that time.

Time

I don't remember exactly about the time, but it was at the end of summer. As I remember, I was alone because all my friend left me to go by rental bicycle. When I was walking around and waiting for my friend, the sun is going to set. Due to my photographer instinct, I don't want to miss this beautiful moment. So, I take out my phone from my pocket, searching for a right spot, and took the photo.

Lighting

If you are a person who likes to capture the sunset moment, the backlighting technique is one of my favorite things to do. It could show the beauty of the sunlight while it set and give a brief feature of the object like city landscape or anything else.

Equipment

Mobile phone camera (Samsung Galaxy S4)

Inspiration

I have a dream to see the sunrise/sunset from another side of the world. I originally come from Indonesia, and I got a scholarship to continue my study in South Korea. So, now my dream comes true, and I want to keep it by capturing every moment with camera.

Editing

I think, I did not do any post-processing because of the composition already balances and perfect.

In my camera bag

Honestly, I do not have any DSLR or pocket camera due to budget issues. Up until now, most of my pictures was captured by my mobile phone camera. The thing is how to capture at right moment and right angle.

Feedback

Just practice in every situation and condition. It will make your sense of photography increase and your photo will going better and better every time.
