Location
I took this photo of a small waterfall, at a place in Wales. Although it was quite hard to find! I had to clamber across many streams and rocks to find it, and had to balance my tripod and myself on a very wobbly rock!Time
This shot was taken in the early afternoon, as I wanted as much natural light in the image as possible.Lighting
All I wanted from this image was a magical kind of look, hence the slower shutter speed, which makes the water look magical.Equipment
This was shot on my canon 500D with an 18-55mm lens and a cheap unbranded tripod.Inspiration
Nothing particular really inspired me on this one, the inspiration just came to me as soon as I saw the waterfall!Editing
The only post processing done was in Lightroom, just to touch up the photo and bring the colours out more.In my camera bag
I normally don't carry a lot in my bag, due to the fact I'm a student and can't afford much equipment! Usually I just carry my 500D with the 18-55 mm lens and my tripod!!Feedback
Definitely use a tripod! These kind of shots are very hard to pull off without one, because the slow shutter speed means that a blurry image is very easy to get if not careful!
