Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken during a photography workshop on a very cool Saturday morning in September 2015. We walked from the instructor's classroom to a pet store located a coupled of blocks away. This fountain is always running, even in the bitter cold of December. The instructor was demonstrating to us how to make moving water cloudy.

Time

Late morning.

Lighting

This photo was taken in natural sunlight. It was a little cloudy that morning, with a chance of snow flurries.

Equipment

I used a Cannon T3i, with a 18-55 mm kit lens. No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

I was trying to capture the effect of moving water.

Editing

None at all.

In my camera bag

I have my Canon T3i, my 15-55 mm kit lens, a 75-300 zoom lens, filters, extra batteries, extra SD cards, an external flash, and lens cleaning cloths.

Feedback

Just keep trying until you get it. I must have taken 20 photos before I got the water to look the way I wanted.
