The photo was taken in my backyard, when the hummingbird landed at the clothes line after he fed. I am an amature photographer who likes to take pictures of the things that are around me in my everyday life, and this bird visits my house since I was young.Time
It was a really beautiful morning. The sun was high in the sky and there was a cool breeze that made me feel relaxed and calm. I heard the hummingbird arrive at my backyard and looked from the window of my room to see him. Even after all of the years seeing him almost everyday, I could not get used to his beauty, so I decided to take a picture of him. A hummingbird moves very fast so is kind of difficult to take a clear shot of him, but after a lot of attemps and patience, I was able to take this amazing picture and was very happy with the result.Lighting
As an amature photographer I don't really have technics of how to take a picture. I saw that it was a sunny day and thought that the picture would turn out really pretty because of the clear light. I just wanted to capture the hummingbird in its most simple and natural state.Equipment
I just used a simple Samsung digital camera to take the picture.Inspiration
This photo was taken at a random moment. I wasn't really expecting to take a picture that day, it just happened. I've got the inspiration just by looking at the beauty of the animal and decided it deserved a photo.Editing
No, I didn't.In my camera bag
I unfortunately don't have enough money to buy a good equipment, so I just have a simple digital camera and my cell phone. I can't let my lack of resources stop me from doing what I love, so I try to do my best with those I've got.Feedback
The most important thing is patience. When you want to take a picture of an animal you have to know that it won't stop what it's doing just so you can take your photo. You need to be steady, and be very observant about the movements of the animal. After a while observing it, you can predict a litle bit of what it is going to do next, and that's when you decide when is the right moment to take your photo. Be careful with your movements because animals get easily scared and can go away.
