From one of the most memorable hospice sessions I have done. This gentleman found it difficult to walk even a few steps unaided when first he arrived to my studio. With support from his family and faithful companion he eventually felt well enough to walk all the way to the very end of the backlot bluff to look upon the beautiful bottoms below. Drenched in colors of Fall, he made his way to the blue wicker chair...the chair always seems to symbolize Heaven or a finality when they reach it and sit down... and each Hospice Client I shoot all ultimately find their way to it and treat it with reverence. At this point in the session, the gentleman seemed to indicate to his faithful pal that he could go no further on this journey together and the dog in future shots stayed behind while his master made his way to the chair to catch his breath. In the subsequent video we produced for his funeral from this and a secondary session, the last frame is of the chair...sitting alone...drenched in Fall. Rest in peace Mr. Kenny
