Pelicans are an amazing combination of elegance and awkwardness. They soar, glide, dive-bomb, and gulp. Although their pouched beak did not evolve for catching air-borne food, those unfortunate enough to have been injured and requiring captive rehabilitation quickly learn to use their amazing anatomy to their advantage. Here, one such magnificent individual, concentrates hard on capturing two tossed fish as part of his regular feeding.
