I had been driving by this spot all summer, every time I saw this heron, or pointed my lens at him (or her), it would immediately fly off. Not today;

Taken on our deck.

Remnants of a tropical storm over Brooms island. My favorite local spot for sunsets.

Took a bunch to get just one of him in focus. This heron has eluded an in focus shot for a long time. This one is cropped quite a bit and sharpened.

Took this in the petrified forest national park. Used silverlight to convert, then bumped up the contrast a bit. I never get tired of a view like this

Just had to pop the contrast a little bit on this one, the color really caught my eye.

Love old barns and trees, even better when black and white.
