Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken a couple of years ago on trip to Disneyland.

Time

I believe it was taken mid morning or early afternoon

Lighting

The lighting was not in the golden hours and it was a bright fall day. Some times we have to work with what is there and happening.

Equipment

Nikon D80 with a Nikon 18-200 DX lens.

Inspiration

I was trying to recreate a collage that was in the room were staying in the Disneyland Hotel. This picture is close to the one in the collage though I did change the angle and cropping a bit to make it mine.

Editing

Cropping as well as converting it to black and white.

In my camera bag

Nikon D80, Nikon 18-200 DX lens, and a Sigma 12-24 wide angle.

Feedback

Disneyland has a multitude of possibility for photographers. Yes you can take the regular family, Mickey, Minni and the gang. Though is you can take a morning, afternoon or evening you can find a different way to capture you trip to the Magical Kingdom. For me my inspiration was a collage, it really could be anything that inspires you. Something as simple as the statues around the parks or to see how many different Mickey Mouse head, hands etc.... symbols you can find. They are everywhere throught the park. Make it into a scavenger hunt for the family as you go from ride to ride.
