I took this photo at The High Desert Museum in Bend, Oregon.Time
I took it in late morning, just before noon.Lighting
The lighting was great that day, being in the middle of summer. The numerous pine and other species of trees in the area helped create some contrasts of light.Equipment
I used a Canon 70D with a tampon 150-600mm lens.Inspiration
I have always enjoyed photography birds, and this Golden Eagle was one that they had on display. He happened to be facing me for the most part and had great lighting and so I sat and waited for him to make small movements to create the photos with.Editing
I didn't do any post-processing for this shot. It is straight from Camera.In my camera bag
I have a Canon 70D and a Canon 7D Mark II. For lenses I have a large variety ranging from 18mm up to 600mm.Feedback
Be willing to spend all day with an animal. If you try and shoot like you have 15 minutes, it will take you all day to get a shot. If you approach shooting wildlife like you have all day though, you are more likely to get the shot in 15 minutes.
