After dropping a friend off at the Taos Pueblo, I took a little, dirt side road to see if I could catch an unobstructed view of a forest fire burning in the mountains on the south side of Taos (only about a mile and 1-2 from people's homes). It was not near sunset, but the smoke clouds cast an ominous red hue.
