Location
I took this photo near my house in Reading, PA. I'm a self taught photographer and was just out experimenting that morning.Time
It was early morning, around 8am. I was out as the sun was coming up experimenting with some other shots and before I packed up and came home I saw this shot.Lighting
I just really liked how the sun that morning wasn't too bright or overpowering, and how it happened to fall right upon this barbed wire.Equipment
This was shot on the Fujifilm X-pro 1 with Nikon adaptor and the Nikkor Q 200mm f/4 Non-AiInspiration
To be honest, I was actually about to head out and pack up my gear for home and took one last look around and saw how the light fell on this barbed wire fence so I got closer and took the shot.Editing
Just basically added some contrast, made the barbed wire a bit more silhouetted and brought out the colors in the sun a bit more.In my camera bag
Normally I tend to keep my bag pretty loaded unless I purposely plan to go light. But as of right now I have my X-pro 1 with my Voigtlander Color Skopar 35mm f/2.5 PII always attached, next to that I have my Nikon D7000 body. Then I always have at least one flash either my SB-26 or SB-28 with the Flash Q trigger system, Nikon 55mm f/3.5 Macro, 85mm f/1.8D and my 50mm f/1.8D. Last but not least my Nikon adapter for my X-pro 1 and the XF 27mm f/2.8 since it's super small and fits anywhere.Feedback
Just remember to keep your aperture on the slightly higher end as well as your shutter speed in order to get the silhouette on an object and just the right placement of the sun or your lighting, for example f/8 and 1/2000 or more to not be over exposed on the sun.
