Taken about 200 metres from home at my local beach. I saw the storm begin and knew I had to get this image. Amateur photographer learning as I go alongTime

The lightning was my lighting. It was grey and stormy but the air was alive.Equipment
I took this image with my cell phone as it was the only thing I had but as a photographer friend told me "the best camera is the one in your hand"Inspiration
I love storms. There is so much energy when there are lightning storms. We don't get them often where I live but I find them so incredible.Editing
I uploaded the photo to Instagram but didn't use any filters.In my camera bag
I'm still learning and only recently got my first decent camera so the bag is still to be filled.Feedback
Be persistent. Don't give up because you're getting soaked. If you want that shot be patient enough to wait for that perfect moment.
