Behind The Lens

Location

Taken in Colorado cottonwood pass

Time

mid night new moon

Lighting

It was very dark being the new moon which made the stars and the milk way stand out

Equipment

A Nikon D850 with a 1.8 20mm fixed lens on a tripod

Inspiration

I was on vacation and knew it was going to be a new moon so I set out to shoot the milky way. The stars were amazing ,millions of stars

Editing

yes I try to lighten the milk way a little and sharping of the stars

In my camera bag

My camera and my lens and extra batteries

Feedback

Find a low light area on light pollution map . go out on a new moon night,go on line there are many sites that will help with expose . Also need a tripod and a fast lens , and a red head lamp also help
