Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on my first time to hawaii. Taking photos with these turtle is so far the best part of my life

Time

This picture took a long time to get. At my resort turtles would occasionally come by and i would just sit in the water with my camera ready waiting for a turtle to come by

Lighting

I originally planned on being able to see the turtles head when it surface but with the waves it was pretty difficult to line my dome up perfectly.

Equipment

This photo was shot with my GoPro Hero 4 with a KNEKT dome port

Inspiration

One of my favorite ocean photogrphers is clarklittle. Ever since I saw his turtle pictures i was dying to go to hawaii and get some of my own

Editing

I didnt do much in this case because it was so close to the surface. I only fixed the blue color of the water.

In my camera bag

Most of the time in my bag i will keep a normal camera and a tripod. Unless im going to the beach then i bring my gopro and a bunch of batteries

Feedback

When i was trying to capture the sea turtles i would just sit and wait for a turtle to come about. Then i would just follow the sea turtles taking a bunch of pictures. When it comes time to edit there is no doubt that you will have some awesome shots
