This photo was taken in a nearby sunflower field this past summer. The sunflowers were planted and sold by a family who gave all proceeds to a local charity.Time
We first came across this field late morning, but due to the lighting being too harsh, we swung back by later that evening just before golden hour, which is when this photo was taken.Lighting
All natural lighting was used during this shoot.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon Rebel T5i with a 50mm lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
Sunflowers are the girl's mother's favorite flower, so she was ecstatic to see her daughter have her pictures made in a blooming field. [PS. we also brought her home a flower :) ]Editing
I did not do too much post-processing because I wanted the photo to look as natural as possible. However, I did increase the contrast and tweak the tones to be a bit cooler.In my camera bag
Two lenses I always have in my bag are my Canon 55-250mm and 50mm.Feedback
My best advice for someone trying to capture a similar photo is to check the weather prior to leaving, go out and shoot early evening, and don't forget to have fun with your model!
