I've always been fascinated with the night sky, but living half an hour away from Toronto, I can see twenty stars on a good night. When I had the opportunity to go on a trip to the South East US to visit some of the darkest skies in North America, I became very excited. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this kind of trip to anyone vaguely interested in this sort of thing. Some nights we were so isolated that I just slept under the stars.
