A wild pony foal born just days before I got to meet her. She was curly and fluffy and not yet as outgoing and playful as the rest. The other summer foals were rambunctious and one cute one kept trying to tackle my camera and I out of sheer playfulness. Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia is certainly a place to take the family for vacation. Kids can't interact with wild ponies safely anywhere else in the US. They get mountain views that take your breath away, and hiking that does the same!
