This was a hard working man who made a living poaching crabs. He tried to look for work, but couldn't find a job for months. So, he did what he had to, to pay for the bills and put food on the table for his family. He woke up every night at 10pm to get ready for work. He used a rubber blow up boat that he had to pump up every night and make his way out to the docks that you can not see in this photo. It was dark, cold and lonely, he says. He would have to boat back with crabs in the rubber blow up boat, which was hard. He than went across town to sell them in China town. They went quick, most days... There were nights he would crab and not catch any at all, those nights-days were hard. But he never gave up, even though he felt defeated at times. After selling the crabs he would make his way back home. Which would be around 11am than would spend a few hours with his family, looking for work and than go to sleep. This may sound funny to some people but to me. This is a real man. This is my hero! This is my partner in crime.
