This is everthing. Warmth. Light. Cooking. In an environment as remote as this semi-nomadic village, fire is so simple, yet so necessary.

Here, water is being boiled to make traditional yak butter milk tea. Next, meat will be quickly seared over the fire before being put into a stew with some potatoes, other veges, served with rice cooked over the very same fire.

One hut. One family. One fire... All very simple, yet entirely sufficient.
