As I walked to the bar from the parking deck, I noticed a man on the corner with this sign. I felt bad because I didn't have any cash, so I told him I would catch him when I was done. As I was leaving, I saw him still on the corner and I felt horrible that I still had no cash. (Yes, I am that person that needs to make notes for myself!) I walked back into the bar and asked the bartender if they could break a $20. The bartender apologized and said he closed the register already. The nice man in the middle of this photo looked at me and asked why I needed to break a $20 bill. When I explained the story, he pulled a $20 bill out of his pocket and told me to just give the man the $20. I was in disbelief! I quickly went back to the corner and gave the man on the right the $20 bill and explained that it was from a nice gentleman in the bar. I asked if he would like to come thank the man and he smiled and said he would. The man on the right followed me to the bar and shook the generous gentleman's hand and thanked him. At the time this all occurred...I was in real need of a good story. It seems that every time you listen to the media, it is always depressing. I've chosen to turn off the television and pay attention to my surroundings. This...is life! There are wonderful people here. We are called to love one another. Let's do it!
